inspiration
Today, I feel very inspired to create. I read a few articles on Relevant Magazine online and they uplifted me and inspired me. See, I’m an ENFP, by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Personality Test. And I feel like I am a textbook example of an ENFP  - someone who is creative, spontaneous, loves people, affectionate, and loves to help people. But also, I have those textbook ENFP problems:...

friendship.
In less than a fortnight, one of my closest friends will be leaving. She is embarking on an awesome opportunity to travel and work. She’s also relocating to the other side of the country. It wouldn’t be so bad if we lived in England - then it would just be a matter of hours until we saw each other instead of a matter of days or expensive flights. Sigh. I’m happy for her. I...

Dracula
I’m reading it right now. The first of at least five books that I plan on reading this year. I love reading way too much for me to not read more. I cannot put it down, surprisingly. When I bought it, I chose it because it’s a classic and it’s written / set during one of my favourite time periods in history - the Victorian Era. And the writing - there’s something exquisite...

working out
I’ve been kicking my own butt at the gym lately. I can’t afford a trainer =( wish I could. Anyway, I’ve been adding a lot of variety to my routine. Before, I would lift weights for 30 mins, then do 30 mins of moderate cardio. Now, I’m adding in a lot of strength training, interval training, and workout moves that don’t require any equipment (those always seem to be...

give up.
I give up way too easily. I get defeated really easily. I throw in the (proverbial) towel easily. I hate that about myself. Whenever anything gets even a little bit tough, I’m ready to be done. Truth is, though, more often than not, I stick whatever it is out and see whatever there is on the other side, which is usually worth dealing with the crap. Life always has its ups and downs. I...

did (some) of a circuit workout yesterday.
Surprisingly, the only muscles that are sore are my glutes. But that’s enough to keep me miserable. Not to mention I decided to wear heels today. (insert facepalm here.) And not to mention that the weather decided to be hella cold. And not to mention that my heels are open-toed. OUCHIES. Today has been a day of great decisions.

Today, I did something that I don't normally do.
I asked for help. At work. When I need help and am stuck in a situation at work, I tend to search within for the answer, even when I don’t know how to really solve the problem. I got stuck in a rut with my lesson plans. Therefore I got stuck in a rut and my students got stuck in a rut. But today, I met with a drama teacher at a local school. Thank God for that meeting, because she gave...

all across the country.
I’ve reached that point in my life - where my friends are spread out across the country, pursuing their dreams, figuring out life, growing up. Crazy to think that seven years ago, we were all at the same school coming from all ends of the country, pursuing our dreams, figuring out life, and (pretending to) growing up. There is a group of three friends: Scott, Jordan, and myself....

freewrite: why you should learn another language
13 reasons: You broaden your view of the people around you. You learn so much more about your own language - and you understand the complexities of your language. Homemade Liquid Soap
I was on Pinterest recently (which I LOVE - I spend hours on it, searching for fun little ideas) and I came across a recipe for homemade liquid soap. Follow this recipe and you can make more soap that you know what to do with! The recipe can be found here. Here are two of the four (and a half) quart jars that I made yesterday out of Ivory soap bars:
