I’ve been kicking my own butt at the gym lately. I can’t afford a trainer =( wish I could. Anyway, I’ve been adding a lot of variety to my routine. Before, I would lift weights for 30 mins, then do 30 mins of moderate cardio. Now, I’m adding in a lot of strength training, interval training, and workout moves that don’t require any equipment (those always seem to be the hardest things for me! Definitely not my favourite.) My goal is to lose 10 lbs - get back to the weight that I was in ‘09, right before I started hanging out with friends that enjoy eating out more than once a week. I feel stronger - today I did 10 pushups without much trouble (my upper body strength leaves something to be desired.) That was a confidence booster. Today, I wasn’t planning on going to the gym because it was rainy and everyone knows that rainy weather is associated with curling up with a blanket and a good book. (Wow - run on sentence.) But I went anyway, and I’m glad I did. Got to try out some new moves that worked muscles that I forgot I had. Here’s to being much stronger, healthier, leaner, and 10 lbs lighter!
